Risbygate tennis teams have had another good season in the summer leagues. With 11 teams in local leagues plus the elite team representing the club in the National League, Risbygate tennis players are representing at every level.

Our men’s first team, captained by Asa Sumner-Keens and sponsored by TP Fire & Security, secured fourth place in the National Open Men’s – Southeast and retain their position in the 2024 league. This was an incredible achievement that gave the team the opportunity to compete at a high level against ATP ranked players.

Over the winter Asa and his team competed in the National Premier League (NPL) qualifying for the finals. On the 25th of May, the team attended the NPL finals at St George’s Hill, Surrey, to compete in the knockout rounds of this competition. In the first round, they faced Warwick Boat Club who were led by ATP doubles player Marcus Willis. Sadly, Risbygate lost 3-1 to Warwick which finished their tournament.
